Returning to On-Campus Services May 31st!

As you may have already heard, we will be returning to modified on-campus services this coming Sunday, May 31st. Thankfully, San Joaquin County has seen a very low rate of COVID-19 cases and our governmental leaders have approved reopening churches immediately.

Our deepest desire as a church is to be obedient to the Lord. God has given us a mandate to “not forsake the assembling of ourselves together” (Hebrews 10:25). Livestream is a great tool and we will continue to use it every week, but a “Cyber Service” can never take the place of “assembling ourselves together.” So it is vital that we return together for the spiritual health and edification of God’s people.

Your physical health is also a great concern to us, so as long as we do not see a coronavirus spike in our area, we feel we can open our campus safely by using reasonable precautions which many other churches and businesses have already implemented. Here is our plan for Sundays at The Home Church:

Special Note: Livestream Services will continue on YouTube & Facebook for the foreseeable future.

Step One: (Beginning May 31st)

  • Only 10:30am Sunday Services for the first 2 weeks

  • No childcare for Babies–4-year-olds for the first 2 weeks

  • The Children’s Center will be open with Livestream of service for parents with small children

  • K4—5th Grade will have modified outdoor service in Prayer Forest

Step Two: (Tentatively June 14th)

  • Nursery, Toddlers, Beginners can reopen

  • 9:30am Sunday School classes can begin

Step Three: (Tentatively July 5th)

  • 6pm Sunday Night Service can begin with typical childcare

  • All ministries will resume

General Considerations:

  • Please try to follow common sense health precautions you are already practicing at businesses, stores, and restaurants.

  • We will regularly sanitize all “touch points” and have hand sanitizer available. (Note: Hand sanitizer donations would be appreciated.)

  • Families and people of the same household should sit together for the first few weeks.

  • Singing can be a “spreader” so please keep a seat space between groups.

  • You are welcome to wear face coverings but they are not required.

  • Stay home for the first few weeks if you consider yourself to be high-risk (Livestream will continue).

  • Stay home if you have a fever or feel sick.

  • To avoid touching the offering plates, offerings will be given at the rear of the auditorium.

  • Please be kind to one another, we all have different opinions and practices.

  • Stay positive.

Thank you everyone for your patience, love for the Lord, and commitment to His church. Let’s keep doing all we can to reach people for Jesus.

See you on the 31st,

Pastor Tim
